Student-athletes in the Central Michigan golf program have access to the Chippewas' outstanding indoor facility at Mount Pleasant Country Club.
The facility, which opened in spring, 2015, encompasses some 5,500 square feet and includes the team locker room and meeting area, an indoor lounge featuring the golf simulator, an indoor putting and chipping room with a 30-foot-high ceiling and a turf-covered floor.
The main room, which is covered wall-to-wall with field turf, includes netting, allowing players to work on all aspects of their game, from the driver to putter, tee to green.
The facility also includes two heated bays with roll-up garage-style doors that open onto MPCC's spacious driving range. The practice area includes a full driving range and a short-game area that includes a full-sized bunker.
The Chippewas practice and play on Mount Pleasant Country Club's championship 18-hole layout set among the majestic hardwoods and along the banks of the meandering Chippewa River.
