Jennings has been the assistant athletic director for facilities and event operations since September 2015.
“Orville’s duties have expanded in the last year to include working with capital projects,” CMU Director of Athletics Dave Heeke said. “The promotion reflects this expanded role, which includes working directly with contractors and CMU facilities management on major projects.”
Major projects in the last year include the baseball performance development center, a privately funded capital project. Construction on the indoor training facility began in 2016 and is expected to conclude this month.
Jennings has been the assistant athletic director for facilities and event operations since September 2015. Jennings earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration, sports management from Tiffin University in 2008.
Jennings earned his master’s degree in sport administration from CMU in 2010 and worked as a facilities/event and game management intern at CMU in 2009-2010. He also worked in facilities at Wake Forest University from 2011-15, including serving as director of event management and facilities.
