MOUNT PLEASANT All-Star Justin Verlander and members of the Detroit Tigers will be roaring into Central Michigan University’s Rose Arena on Monday, Jan. 14 as part of the 2008 Detroit Tigers Caravan presented by Verizon Wireless.
Tiger players and coaches are stopping in Mount Pleasant for a rally that is free and open to the public. Doors open at 12:15 p.m., with the program slated to begin around 12:45 p.m.
Players schedule to appear include: pitchers Verlander, Bobby Seay and Macay McBride, infielder Edgar Renteria, and outfielders Marcus Thames and Jacque Jones. Hitting coach Lloyd McClendon and pitching coach Chuck Hernandez will also be in attendance.
The team will address the crowd and talk about the excitement surrounding the upcoming season and the club’s recent acquisitions.
It will be fun for the whole family with children’s games, giveaways and interaction with select CMU student-athletes.
