Individual Technique Camp
Date:  July 5-8, 2009
Grades:  5-12

Camp Ends:  3:30 p.m. in the Indoor Athletic Complex
First Session Begins:  6:30 p.m.
First Meal:  Breakfast on July 6th

Camp Features:  Technical instruction in all three positions (top, bottom, neutral), Multiple athlete choice sessions, 18 hours of individual instruction, individual tournament by weight class.

Intensive Training Camp
Date:  July 5-10, 2009
Grades:  9-12
Boarding (includes meals and housing):  $450
Commuting (includes lunch only):  $350
Registration:  5:00-6:00 p.m. in Rose Center
Camp Ends:  4:00 p.m. in the Indoor Athletic Complex
First Session Begins:  6:30 p.m.
First Meal:  Breakfast on July 6th

Camp Features:  Daily technique and analysis, structured drilling and combative wrestling, strength training and conditioning, individual tournament by weight class, training with current CMU wrestlers

Youth Camp
Date:  July 10-11, 2009
Grades: K-8
Boarding (includes meals and housing):  $175 grades 5 and up only
Commuting (includes lunch only):  $100
Registration:  12:00-12:30 p.m. in Rose Center
Camp Ends:  6:00 p.m. in the Indoor Athletic Complex
First Session Begins:  1:00 p.m.
First Meal:  Dinner on July 10th

Camp Features:  Basic skills and comprehensive system, repetitive drilling, optional individual tournament.

FACILITIES

Central Michigan’s indoor athletic facilities cover more than 500,000 square feet, including the multimillion-dollar Indoor Athletic Complex, completed in 1999.  The facility features a 100-yard turf bay with eight batting cages, a 200-meter track bay and a 7,500 square-foot strength and conditioning center.  The nearby Student Activity Center features a 6, 800 square-foot weight fitness center, aquatic center and more.

GROUP DISCOUNTS/REFUND POLICY

Group Discounts are available for groups of 10 or more when all registrations are submitted together.  You may not enroll online using a group discount.  Please contact the sports camp office for more information at 800-CMU-4FUN

Cancellations 72 hours (three days) or more before the start of camp will be refunded in full, minus a nonrefundable $50 deposit.  Cancellations after 72-hour period before the start of camp will be refunded up to 50 percent of the amount paid, minus the nonrefundable deposit.  After camps begin, prorated refunds are given only in instances of illness or injury.  Please submit refund requests in writing by e-mail (cmucamps@cmich.edu), fax (989-774-2540) or mail (postmark date applies).  June camp refund requests will be considered if received b y July 3, 2009.  July camp refund requests will be considered if received by August 4, 2009.

MEDICAL CARE AND CAMP CONDUCT

Each camp participant must have received a physical examination within the year before attending camp and must be certified by his or her physician as physically able to participate in the sports camp.  CMU will provide a fully qualified trainer during instruction times.

Medical bills are the responsibility of the participant’s parent or guardian.  CMU carries excess medical insurance with limits up to $2,000 per accident per participant, subject to a $500 deductible.  This means the coverage is in excess of the participant’s own insurance, or in excess of a $500 deductible, whichever amount is greater.  The deductible and any other medical expenses not covered by insurance are the responsibility of the participant’s parent or guardian.

Campers must attend all sessions unless excused for medical reasons.  Campers who do not follow conduct rules for camp will be dismissed without a fee refund.  Use of drugs or alcohol is prohibited.  CMU reserves the right to cancel any of its sports camps up to one month before the starting date of the camp.
