MOUNT PLEASANT -- Central Michigan seniors Britni Houghton and Jordan Bitzer have one more stop in the Maroon and Gold this weekend.
The duo will participate in the Michigan Slam Dunk Championship and 3-Point Shootout at the Palace of Auburn Hills on April 10, with both vying for the three-pointer crown.
Houghton, a three-time All-Mid-American Conference selection, finished her career ranked second in CMU history in points scored and shot 33 percent from three-point range.
Bitzer, a 2009-10 second-team All-MAC choice, finished third in the MAC in threes made this season (72), and finished his career at No. 15 on CMU's scoring chart and at 36 percent from long range. He also became the school's all-time leading free throw shooter at 84 percent.
Tickets to the event start at $20 VIP, $15 reserved and $10 general admission. Tickets can be purchased at Palacenet.com, The Palace Box Office and all Ticketmaster locations. Special Superfan seating is also available. Groups of 10 or more receive $5 off VIP and reserved seating.

The event begins with the men’s Three-Point Shootout followed by the women’s Three-Point Shootout and will see competitors from both college and high school ranks shooting from their respective three-point lines. The winner of the women’s three-point competition then will take on the winner of men’s three-point to crown the state’s best shooter from long range.
In accordance with the Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan (BCAM), the night’s events conclude with the state’s best college and high school leapers and high-flyers competing in the Slam Dunk Championship, judged by local area celebrities. Pistons public address announcer and local radio talent John Mason will emcee the night’s festivities.
