CMU Athletics Participates in MAINstage

MOUNT PLEASANT – Several of Central Michigan’s varsity athletics programs participated in CMU’s MAINstage event Sunday afternoon.

The CMU football, soccer, volleyball and men’s basketball programs all were represented at the event.

The football team spent nearly two hours Sunday taking individual, group and team photos before attending MAINstage. Players and coaches then spent time with fans, signed autographs and showed off the Chippewas’ new Adidas uniforms and sideline apparel.

The basketball team made its way through the crowd recruiting future Rose Rowdies, while the soccer and volleyball teams also took part in a variety of activities during the event.

CMU Athletics sponsored a tent in which fans could vote for the new Kelly/Shorts Stadium student section nickname, view the football program’s recent MAC championship and Motor City Bowl trophies and sign up for the Chippewa Kids Club.

The night was capped by pep talks from head football coach Butch Jones and head men’s basketball coach Ernie Zeigler.
