Football, Field Hockey Featured on Sideliners

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Football and field hockey are on the agenda this week at Sideliners, presented by Fabiano Brothers, the weekly radio show broadcast from Hunter’s Ale House in Mount Pleasant and aired live on WUPS-FM 98.5.

Host Don Chiodo welcomes CMU football coach John Bonamego and field hockey coach Molly Pelowski. Also scheduled to join the show are CMU cornerbacks coach Archie Collins and cornerbacks Amari Coleman and Josh Cox, along with field hockey team members Georgina Minta and Grace Forthaus.

The CMU football team, which won at Northern Illinois, 34-28, in triple overtime, last weekend, goes to Toledo on Saturday for a MAC game. The Chippewas have won back-to-back games to improve to 5-2 overall, 2-1 MAC. Toledo is 5-1, 2-0.

The Chippewa field hockey team plays host to Longwood on Saturday in a MAC game and entertains Northwestern on Sunday in a non-leaguer.

CMU is 1-14 overall, 0-4 MAC. Longwood is 7-8, 1-3. Northwestern is 10-5 and ranked 10th.

The show begins at 6 p.m., there is no admission charge, and an RSVP is not necessary. Fans arriving before 6 p.m. will have the opportunity to interact with coaching staff and student-athletes in an informal setting.
