The main entrance to the Events Center is the atrium facing Lot 62. Fans accessing the Events Center through Rose Center/Ryan Hall entrance must have tickets in-hand. Doors will open one hour before tip-off.
• Smoking is prohibited inside the Events Center and McGuirk Arena.
• Bags and purses are subject to search.
• Tape, nails, glue and tacks are not permitted on any wall, railing, floor or ceiling.
• No outside food or drink
• All signage must follow University guidelines and be approved by University personnel.
Accessible Seating and Parking
Accessible seating is available in multiple locations throughout the arena. Fans requiring special assistance are encouraged to make ticket arrangements through Ticket Central in advance of game day. Handicapped parking is available in the circle drive directly in front of the Events Center Atrium. Wheelchair assistance will be provided from the curb to the main entrance of atrium.
There are no ATMs located inside the stadium. The closest ATM is inside the Student Activity Center located north of the stadium.
Fire Up with food and beverage! A Chippewa game at Kelly/Shorts Stadium is even better when you satisfy your hunger. Concession stands are located throughout the entire Main (West) and East Concourses, at Club Level and the South entrance. From traditional stadium fare to local flavors, we know what you’re hungry for. While cash is accepted at all concession stands, FLEX Dollars, debit and credit cards are also accepted at Main Concourse stands.
The First Aid station is located on the north concourse.
A “Fan Information” kiosk is located inside the Events Center Atrium on the main level.
Lost and Found
Please visit the Fan Information kiosk for lost and found items. Articles not claimed by the end of the game will be turned over to the CMU Police, (989) 774-3081.
For official CMU Chippewas merchandise, visit Maroon & Gold, an official outlet of the CMU Bookstore located inside the Events Center. Maroon & Gold is open non-event weekdays 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and extended hours for events.
Fans using Lot 61 and accessing the building through Rose Center/Ryan Hall must have tickets in-hand. Fans needing to purchase tickets on game day must park in Lot 62W or 62E. Access to Lot 62W and 62E is by East Campus Drive only. Lots cannot be entered off of Broomfield Road. Flash photography is not allowed inside McGuirk Arena. Professional cameras and tripods are prohibited. Handheld still cameras are permitted for personal use. Commercial photography is prohibited.
The annual basketball game program is available for sale throughout the arena for $3. A full-color game day information poster may be purchased for $1, or is complimentary with the purchase of a program.
Helium balloons, weapons, artificial noisemakers, open flames, confetti of all types, alcohol, tobacco, bottles (glass or plastic), cans, thermoses, outside food or drink, professional cameras and tripods, hanging banners or signs, illegal substances, laser pointers, pets, any unauthorized substance or object.
There is no re-entry for fans leaving the Events Center prior to the end of a game.
The Emergency Action Plan is designed to keep all patrons safe while providing a pleasant game day experience. Security personnel, trained annually for emergency procedures, are located throughout the arena. All fans are subject to search as they enter the arena to ensure a safe and secure environment.
Smoking is prohibited inside the Events Center and McGuirk Arena. A designated smoking area is located off of the East Concourse. Patrons must remain at least 25 feet from the entrance.
Tickets and Will Call
Ticket sales will take place at Ticket Central only, located inside the Events Center Atrium. There will be no ticket sales or ticket pickup in the athletics department offices in Rose Center. Fans wishing to purchase tickets must park in Lot 62 and enter through the Events Center Atrium.
Ticket Central will open for sales beginning one hour prior to tip-off and will remain open throughout the entire game. Will Call is located at Ticket Central, inside the Events Center Atrium.
