MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - Fifteen Central Michigan student-athletes were named Distinguished Scholar Athletes by the Mid-American Conference for the fall season.
The Distinguished Scholar Athlete award is presented to student-athletes who have excelled in athletics and academics.
Following each season of the sports schedule, any student-athlete with a 3.20 grade point average and who has participated in at least 50 percent of their respective team’s contests or meets was automatically named to Academic All-MAC Team from each sport.
From the Academic All-MAC Teams, the faculty athletic representatives selected the ‘best of the best’ for the Distinguished Scholar Athlete Award.
