Eduardo Godoy joined CMU athletics as the Assistant Football Athletic Trainer in July 2017. His primary responsibilities lie in year-round preventative and immediate care, treatment, and rehabilitation of injured football student-athletes.
Before joining Central Michigan University, Eduardo served as the Seasonal Certified Athletic Training Intern for the Washington Redskins from May 2016 – May 2017. During his time with the Redskins, Eduardo was the coordinator for all away game preparations, including the International Series Game versus the Cincinnati Bengals in London, England.
Prior to his time with the Washington Redskins, Eduardo completed his Master of Arts in Educational Administration at the University of Nebraska. During his two years at the University of Nebraska, Eduardo served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer with Husker football program.
Eduardo started his athletic training career at Louisiana State University (Baton Rouge, La.) where he received a Bachelor’s of Science in Athletic Training. While at LSU, Eduardo worked with the football, softball, and men’s tennis teams, while spending his summers as an intern athletic trainer with the Arizona Cardinals in 2012 and 2013.
Eduardo is currently a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association, Great Lakes Athletic Trainers Association, and Michigan Athletic Trainers Association. He is a BOC Certified athletic trainer and a licensed athletic trainer in the state of Michigan.
Eduardo is a native of Baton Rouge, La. and now resides in Mount Pleasant, Mich.
