Assistant Athletic Trainer

Joe Fox returned to CMU in August, 2011 as an assistant athletic trainer and serves as the trainer for the soccer and softball programs, and oversees training for the lacrosse program.

He previously worked as an assistant trainer with the football program and served as a supervisor to trainers working with the baseball and softball programs.

From 2008-11, Fox worked as an assistant athletic trainer at Ferris State, working with volleyball, basketball, football, track and field, cross country, golf and tennis. In spring, 2008, Fox served as the athletic trainer for the CMU softball program.

Fox earned his bachelor's degree in athletic training with a minor in exercise science from CMU in 2001, and a master's degree in sport administration from CMU in 2008.

He began his career in 2002 at Alma College, where he worked with football, men's basketball and baseball. From 2004-07, he worked as the athletic trainer for the Jamestown Jammers, a Florida Marlins minor league affiliate; and with the Great Lakes Loons and the Ogden Raptors, both of which are minor league affiliates of the Los Angeles Dodgers.

A Mount Pleasant native, Fox and his wife Amanda have two daughters, Jillian and Brooke.
