A key component of CMU's first two Mid-American Conference championship basketball teams... a second-team All-MAC selection in 1977... graduated as the third-leading scorer (1,338 points) in CMU history... shot .807 (226-for-280) from the foul line during his career, the second-highest percentage in school history... shot .878 (101-for-115) from the line in 1976, a mark that ranked third nationally that year... tallied a career-record 126 career steals... made two free throws with no time on the clock in CMU's 77-75 victory over Georgetown in the first round of the 1975 NCAA Tournament... led CMU in scoring two seasons with 18.2 points per game in 1975-76 and 16.9 per game in 1976-77... was a part-time assistant coach for CMU's 1979 MAC championship team... served as the Chippewas head coach for four seasons... was the head women's coach at Lamar for four seasons... spent 20 seasons as a men's basketball assistant coach (14 at the Division I level), including helping Ball State reach the NCAA Sweet 16 in 1990... a native of Niles, Mich., who prepped at Niles Brandywine High School.
