Central Michigan University football coach Dan Enos named Ben Presnell the program's coordinator of recruiting and player personnel in March, 2014. Presnell has been associated with the program for the past two years, working in 2012 as an intern and, last year, in quality control. This is a new position within the program.

"We've had the opportunity to have Ben work with us over the past few years and we were impressed with his knowledge, dedication, work ethic and organization," said Enos, who is entering his fifth year as the Chippewas' head coach. "The impact of this position will have a direct effect on our program with regards to the identification and evaluation of talent."

The Chippewas will benefit immediately from Presnell's familiarity with the program, its personnel, the campus, and the surrounding community.

"When I came here in 2012 the only vision I had was I wanted to work in athletics," Presnell said. "I wasn't even sure that it was going to be in football, but my opportunity came in that way. I always had a passion to get into athletics. My dad is a football coach, my grandfather was a football coach. It was a part of my life growing up."

Presnell earned both his Bachelor's and Masters degrees from CMU and has worked for the Detroit Lions. He spent nearly a decade working in the media business in Southern California before returning home to Mount Pleasant to pursue a career in athletics. His father, Plas, recently retired after 31 years with Central Michigan football.
