Under Guthrie, the Chippewas have earned more than 100 Academic All-MAC honors and set a combined 17 indoor and outdoor track & field program records.
The Team All-Academic honor for the 2016 season marks the sixth in a row for the Chippewa women’s team, and the fifth in a row for the men.
To be eligible for the team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.2 grade point average or better and appear in at least 50 percent of his or her team’s competitions. Freshman and first-year transfers are ineligible.
The men's team was fittingly led by its two seniors, Spencer Nousain and Casey Voisin, who led CMU to a 20th place finish in the 30-team field.
