Catherine Ostoich was named to head the Central Michigan field hockey program on Dec. 15, 2017, by Associate Vice President and Director of Athletics Michael Alford.

Ostoich came to CMU from Indiana, where she served as an assistant coach for the 2017 season. She was head coach at Missouri State in 2016, and she was an assistant coach at Davidson College in North Carolina for the 2014 and 2015 seasons.

For three-plus years, Ostoich has been a camp manager for a technical skill camp at World Camp USA at Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania. As a manager, she worked with budgets and supervised a staff of 24. She also worked at World Camp USA as a coach and referee for three summers.

As a player, Ostoich was a four-year starter as a back at Richmond and a co-captain her senior season in 2013, when the Spiders were fifth in the nation in shutouts. Twice she was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Tournament Team. She graduated from Richmond in 2013 with a bachelor's degree in business administration.
