ATHENS, Ohio – Maria Russell scored 3 minutes, 46 seconds into overtime Friday as Ohio handed Central Michigan a 4-3 Mid-American Conference loss at the Bobcats’ Pruitt Field.
The Chippewas slipped to 1-9 overall, 0-2 MAC. They play at Kent State on Sunday (noon) in a MAC game. The defending MAC Touranment champion Golden Flashes are 6-5, 2-0.

Russell’s game-winning goal came off a deflected corner. Ohio goalkeeper Alex Pennington made eight saves. The Bobcats improved to 4-6, 1-0.
