SETTING THE SCENE
The Central Michigan field hockey team will entertain Michigan State on Tuesday (4 p.m.) in a nonconference matchup.

LAST WEEKEND
The Chippewas are 0-13, 0-3 MAC after dropping two games to Appalachian State, 2-0, and 5-0 over the weekend.

SCOUTING
• The Spartans are 6-7 and have lost two straight game. They fell last weekend to No. 4 Penn State, 1-0, and to No. 17 Maryland, 4-1.

• Sophie Macadre has recorded 15 points (six goals, three assists) to lead Michigan State. Katie Miller has totaled 55 saves in goal for MSU. 

LEADERS
Emily Barber leads CMU in shots with 19 while Carly Brengosz ranks second with 16.

• Chippewa goalkeeper Lily Amadio has made 92 total saves this season, seven of which were made last weekend.

NEXT
• Central Michigan returns to league play on Friday, Oct. 13 as it plays host to Kent State (5-9, 2-1 MAC). The Golden Flashes topped Ball State on Friday, 2-1.
