CMU Field Hockey Signs 4

CMU field hockey coach Molly Pelowski has announced her signing class, which comprises four players.

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - Central Michigan field hockey coach Molly Pelowski has announced the signing of four players to National Letters of Intent.

The quartet represents a wide variety of geographic locations from California to Colorado to Michigan and to Virginia.

It is Pelowski's second recruiting class at CMU.

"I'm really excited about this class," she said. "What I like about them and their styles of play is that they are very skilled hockey players and they're strong academically.

"I think they'll contribute from their very first day here at Central Michigan. Really, really excited about the direction that we're moving. I think they'll be contributors right off the bat."

Taryn Damm • midfield • 5-7 • Dexter, Mich./Dexter HS/Pinnacle Field Hockey (Ann Arbor)
Four-year letter winner ... helped lead Dexter to a runner-up finish in the 2016 Michigan High School Field Hockey Coaches Association State Tournament ... Named to Division I All-State Second Team in 2015 ... helped Dexter to Division II state title in 2014 ... earned All-State honorable mention in 2014 ... three-year letter winner in softball and a four-year letter winner in academics.
Callie Quinn • midfield • 5-5 • Stafford, Va./Stafford HS
Four-year letter winner ... entered senior year with 27 career goals and 55 career assists ... named first team All-State in 2014 ... second team All-State in 2015 ... two-time all-region selection ... two-time all-conference pick ... named team most valuable player in 2014 ... earned Coaches Award in 2015 ... 2016 team captain ... helped lead Stafford to league championship in 2016 ... three-time Level 1 Futures selection ... selected to play in the National Futures Championship in 2014 ... helped High Voltage field hockey club team to gold medals in 2014 and 2015 at National Field Hockey Festival ... also earned one letter in lacrosse.

Keelin Broeker • goalkeeper • 5-6 • Monument, Colo./Palmer Ridge HS
Backstopped her Athens team to the gold medal in USA Field Hockey 2015 National Futures Championships ... played in the 2015 AAU Junior Olympics ... combined 0.60 goals against average in two high school seasons ... two-time Palmer Ridge most valuable player ... two-time all-conference selection ... led Palmer Ridge to state runner-up finish ... accomplished multi-sport athlete (lacrosse, soccer, track and field) and has been a competitive weight lifter ... ranked among the top high school throwers in track and field in Colorado.
