RIO VERDE, Ariz. - Central Michigan posted a 326 team total on Saturday in the second-round of the Rio Verde Invitational on the White Wing Course at Rio Verde Invitational.
The Chippewas, who shot 334 in Friday's opening round, stand with a 660 team total and in 19th place in the 19-team tournament. The final round is scheduled for Sunday morning.
Sophomore Bria Colosky shot a 4-over 76 - one off her career best - in leading the Chippewas on Saturday. Colosky's round included four birdies, three of which came on the back nine.
Chippewa junior Natalie Johnson posted her second-consecutive 79 on Saturday and stands among a group tied for 65th with a 158 total.
Also for CMU on Saturday, Danielle Sawyer shot 83, Kristen Wolfe posted an 88, and Holly Hines shot 92.
Wolfe, Sawyer and Hines had one birdie apiece.
Colosky's two-round total is 165, while Sawyer is at 166 and Wolfe at 171.
First-round leader Chandler Gallagher of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) shot an even-par 72 and stands at 3-under for the tournament, two shots ahead of Danielle Nicholson of Akron and Sierra Bezdicek of Northern Arizona.
UMKC posted a 296 team total to maintain its grip on first place. The Kangaroos stand at 591, six shots ahead of second-place Eastern Michigan. Northern Illinois (599) is third.
