SORRENTO, Fla. -- Chloe Guschewski and Holly Hines both shot 81 on Monday to lead the Central Michigan women's golf team during the second round of the Morehead State Citrus Challenge at RedTail Golf Club.
The three-day 54-hole event concludes with the third and final round on Tuesday.
The Chippewas shot a 331 team score on Monday and they stand in 20th place in the 20-team event with a 661 total. They trail 19th-place Omaha by seven shots.
Also for CMU on Monday, Bria Colosky shot 84, Natalie Johnson posted an 85, and Kristen Wolfe carded a 90.
Johnson, who shot 77 in Sunday's opening round, is tied for 89th in the 118-player field.
Kelsey Badmaev of Elon and Nathalie Nygren of North Florida both shot 2-under 70 for the low score of the round on Monday. Badmaev is at 2-under for the tournament and leads by one shot over teammate Heather Munro and Jacksonville State's Valentina Giraldo.
Elon and James Madison share the team lead at 597. Western Kentucky is third at 602.
