SETTING THE SCENE
The Central Michigan golf team will partake in the Delores Black Falcon Invitational, hosted by Bowling Green, at Stone Ridge Golf Club in Bowling Green, Ohio, beginning on Saturday.
The two-day, 36-hole stroke-play tournament is comprised of 17 teams and will be played on Saturday and Sunday. Players will start on holes No. 1 and No. 10 on Saturday, and will begin with a shotgun start on Sunday.
Scheduled to join the Chippewas and the host Falcons are Akron, Ball State, Cleveland State, Detroit Mercy, Eastern Michigan, Findlay, Illinois-Chicago, Indianapolis, Lawrence, Oakland, Ohio, Toledo, Western Michigan and Youngstown State.
LAST TIME OUT
The Chippewas finished last in the 17-team field at the John Kirk Panther Intercollegiate at Eagle’s Landing Country Club in Stockbridge, Ga. The Chippewas finished with a 1,001 team total.
CMU shot 312-323 – 635 to finish in third place in the 10-team field at Dolores Black Invitational.
