MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Two Central Michigan athletic teams, volleyball and women’s golf, have been recognized by the NCAA Academic Performance Program for their multiyear Academic Progress Rate (APR). Both programs had an APR score of 1000 in 2014-15.
The two Chippewa teams are among those nationally who have posted a multiyear APR in the top 10 percent of all squads in their respective sports, ending with the 2014-15 academic year.
The APR provides a real-time look at a team's academic success each semester by tracking the academic progress of each student-athlete on scholarship. The APR accounts for eligibility, retention and graduation, and provides a measure of each team's academic performance.
