MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – The Central Michigan women’s golf team recorded a team grade point average of 3.38 for the spring semester, bringing its cumulative GPA to 3.49.
Natalie Johnson recorded a perfect 4.0 GPA to lead the Chippewa student-athletes, while Kristen Wolfe posted a 3.85 and Hannah Matthies recorded a 3.80. Six of the seven players on the roster were at 3.0 or better.
Johnson tops the chart with a 3.94 cumulative GPA, while Wolfe checks in at 3.84 and Matthies at 3.81. Five of the seven Chippewas have a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or better.
“I am extremely proud of my squad for how they have performed both in the classroom and on the golf course,” CMU coach Cheryl Stacy said. “They have done a great job managing their time and maintaining their high grades considering the demands of our sport and the amount of travel involved.
“They continue to impress me with their dedication, discipline and work ethic. We will continue to build a Championship Culture within our program on a daily basis."
