Emily Wenglikowski had 20 kills and 11 digs to lead the Chippewas, while freshman Lyza Myers added 13 kills.
Among Baumert’s primary duties are working with the Chippewa setters in particular and the offense in general. She also oversees office and program organization, day-to-day player relationships, and team travel.
After adding five newcomers, the Chippewas will look to build off of a fifth-place finish in the Mid-American Conference. CMU will open the 2017 campaign on Saturday, Aug. 19, with an exhibition match versus Ferris State at 5 p.m. in McGuirk Arena.
