McGuirk Sand-Gravel Maroon and Gold Concert Series

Tailgate Village will be part of each of the first four home Central Michigan football games this season and each of those games includes the free McGuirk Sand-Gravel Maroon and Gold Concert. The concerts are open to all fans and will begin three hours before kickoff.

Sept. 1, 2016 - 4:00 PM - Uncle Kracker

Uncle Kracker is the stage name of Matthew Shafer. He is a Mount Clemens native and longtime friend of Kid Rock. He released his first solo album "Double Wide" in 2000, and he covers a variety of genres - rock, rap, pop and country in his solo work. He is the turntablist for Kid Rock's backing group Twisted Brown Trucker. His most recent album, "Midnight Special," came out in 2012.

Sept. 17, 2016 - Noon - Jedi Mind Trip

Jedi Mind Trip formed in 1996 and plays a heavy dose of classic rock in the Great Lakes Bay Region area and in August play at Mount Pleasant at Hunter's Ale House or the Soaring Eagle Casino. Group founder and lead vocalist Dan Ardouin remains the focal point of the band.

Oct. 1, 2016 - TBD - Cadillac West

Cadillac West members describe the group as "high-energy country band that covers the best of today's country music as well as your favorite pop & rock classics." Cadillac West performs all over Michigan and frequently plays in Mount Pleasant.

Oct. 8, 2016 - Noon - Paddlebots

The Paddlebots are a progressive soul-pop group that formed in Mount Pleasant and frequently played - and still often play - at The Cabin and other Mount Pleasant venues.
